Preparing for and applying to college can be as complex as it is exciting. As an independent college counselor, I provide the skills, knowledge, and personalized commitment for each student to successfully navigate the steps to college - from high school preparation to completing the application.

Each of my students receives individual attention and guidance to examine his or her unique qualities and identify colleges that are the best match. I understand that applying to college is a significant step in a student's life and that the process can often seem overwhelming to students and their families. Acting as a guide and advocate, I provide information, support, and effective strategies to help make applying to college an enjoyable and enlightening experience.

Whether a student has three months or three years to apply to college, there are immense benefits to thoughtful college planning.

Ideally, college planning should begin in freshman or sophomore year, understanding the process, discussing what colleges are looking for in an applicant, and developing an initial 4-year plan for appropriate courses and extracurricular activities. In junior and senior years, the focus is also on SAT/ACT testing, researching colleges, and applications.
